Whether Santa Claus pays for your CC bill or your company decided no one is getting a bonus this quarter – this economy is trash. Pasture raised eggs are a whopping $10 and Zara thinks they’re Sézane.
Two years ago, I committed to reducing my fast-fashion contributions and *minimalized* my wardrobe without going full capsule. And in those pursuits I coined myself the queen of “finding a more affordable but quality, option” which the kids now call “dupe.” Frankly, some of these dupes I’m seeing are horrid…which defeats the purpose of not getting sucked into fast fashion because your pieces end up being, well, trash.
Designer will always be designer. And if you can afford to fill your closet with it then, i love that for you – we are just in different tax brackets at the moment, but we can still be friends.
So I’m working on developing a more full-bodied guide for each genre,
for now we’ll call it: that, but get this.
❤
Let’s do 3 today with some extras.
Starting off strong with something you can barely ever wear in Miami but works for any other season-birthing-state, seasonal travel, freezing cold office fits, etc – take her to dinner or take her to the airport, this one is versatile.
P.S. this goes for anything on KD – all reference images are hyperlinked. I got you.

Before we continue, here’s a list of some of the site’s you’ll see me reference most frequently this season. The theme is: approachable, affordable, luxurious. Don’t coin me for the order – that’s on you.
MANGO outlet – for everything!
MANGO – everything in-season
H&M – for everything!
Commense – almost everything..
Banana Republic Factory – workwear or formal events
Nordstrom – markdowns galore
A&F – basics
Amazon – try as you might, it’s amazon.
Moving on – I am enamored by French fashion.
It says, “I didn’t put too much thought into this because it’s just who I am” – soft but bold,
minimal but intentional.
*I’d pair this with either a red shoe or lip – not both. You’ll ruin it with both.
For a night look – a strappy mule or sandal heel (not pictured).

Let’s zhuzh it up.

And the grand finale. Which is in part, a circus of things:
I’ll do more of these with scenario buckets later this week & gift guides (which I’m dreading tbh but you have my word). For now, I hope this is helpful to anyone else that’s been in underwhelmed with fashion these days. LMK if these price points make sense (if you want to see higher or lower) and/or message me with any specific occasion requests!
Happier that you’re here,
Kenny
